GCVCA Academic Attendance Program

Welcome to Gold Coast Venture Capital Association, specializing in bringing together entrepreneurs and investors to fund growth with promising returns. Our Monthly Networking/Dinner meetings provide a stimulating blend of informative programs, interactive networking and a dynamic exchange of innovative ideas from South Florida entrepreneurs. As an educational institution, enjoy the benefits to enhancing learning opportunities while building relationships with an established membership of large and small business owners.  Bringing your students to observe polished presentations on delivering a business plan gives them a firsthand view of companies vying for investor dollars. Take advantage of arranging a “field trip” for select students to attend our Monthly Networking/Dinner meetings with an informative program and networking. Many firms may have internship opportunities in a variety of fields as students listen to professionals share their expertise on the entrepreneurial spirit, angel investing, and venture capital opportunities.

Our Monthly Networking/Dinner Meetings accommodate up to 250 attendees. With 32 spots available for students from neighboring universities at each meeting, and at an academic affiliate discount rate of $35.00 per student or liaison, please view the programs and their value to several courses in your curriculum that address entrepreneurship, investment analysis, small business development, among other topics. As your university representative, simply pre-register students  at the beginning of each month at http://www.gcvca.org/student. Each student and faculty liaison receives a nametag with your institution’s name when you arrive at registration. One collective payment can be made at the door.

The Association’s Monthly Networking/Dinner meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month except November and December. One meeting is held on the first or second Wednesday in December. For the 2008 year all monthly networking/dinner meetings will be held at The Embassy Suites, at Yamato Road and I-95 in Boca Raton.

You can make a Pre-Registration on our Website until 4:00 PM on the Monday prior to the last Wednesday of every month. All Pre-Registrations are considered as a Guaranteed Pre-Registrations. The association policy requires that a Pre-Registration must be cancelled prior to 4:00 PM on the Monday prior to the last Wednesday of every month, due to the fact that the Association must provide a guaranteed headcount to the meeting venue at that time. If the pre-registrant is a No-Show and has used the "Pay at the Door" option and is a No-Show and the Association has not receive a cancellation prior to 4:00 PM on Monday prior to the last Wednesday of every month then the Liaison will be invoiced for the Pre-Registration and the Association would appreciate the payment of the fee indicated on the Guaranteed Pre-Registration Invoice so that the Association can cover its cost.

Also, please join Gold Coast Venture Capital Association as an academic affiliate member and take advantage of more opportunities. Your students may network and participate in special projects with professionals and their business expertise.  Check in to this Web page for special programs, as well as enjoy a reciprocal academic discount to other business and technical affiliate organizations.
